In the past when playing disc golf I've always just worn an old pair of shoes that I didn't care if they got dirty or not.  These shoes always had little to no traction.  When teeing off unless the teepads were clean and dry, and sometimes even then, I would slip a lot.

For Christmas I got a $100 visa gift card so I decided I'd spend it on finally getting some good shoes just for disc golf.  After a lot of researching on the funcionality, quality, and durability of different shoes I ended up buying Inov-8's Roclite 318 GTX.  I've been wearing them around the house for a week to break them in a little bit and took them out today to Hart Park for the first time to give them a try.

WOW!  What a difference!  I didn't slip one time and ended up shooting by best ever score, a 1 under, on the flats.  My previous best was 3 over.  I had no idea a shoe could make such a difference.  I just assumed slipping and sliding on the teepad was a part of the game and something everyone had to deal with. I guess not. The best $100 I've spent on disc golf by a mile.
